“ Ils semblent debout dans l'air, au milieu d'un paysage magnifique et désolé... Eux, les temples, demeures, éternelles ”.

Guy de Maupassant

Overlooking the balcony and sipping a glass of wine or lingering on the terrace during breakfast: let the Valle dei Templi envelop you with its heritage. Fragrances, flavours and grandeur will remind you that where the historical centre ends and the Park begins is where you will find your B&B.

Due to the majesty of its classical remains, in the 18th century the Valle dei Templi became a must-see destination on the Grand Tour, inspiring the dedications, sketches and nostalgia of great artists such as Goethe, Dumas, Friedrich, Guy de Maupassant and many others.

THE VALLEY OF THE TEMPLES

The park, which covers about 1300 hectares, preserves an extraordinary monumental and panoramic heritage that includes the remains of the ancient Greek city of Akragas. In the Valle dei Templi, declared a “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO in 1997, lies one of the largest archaeological complexes in the Mediterranean, immersed in a rural landscape of rare beauty consisting mainly of centuries-old olive trees and almond trees.
